Stephen Blair Tree Surgery and Arboriculture Service offers the full range of gardening, parkland and forestry services to a wide range of clients, ranging from the private householder, hotels, nursing homes, country estates, golf and sports clubs, hospitals and district council authorities.

All work is carried out to a professional standard and all bylaws and local arboriculture guidelines adhered to.

Bio-degradable products are used wherever possible and our aim is to make the least impact possible whilst carrying out our duties. A first-aid kit is an essential part of our working equipment and great care is taken to ensure all safety measures are adhered to.

How we work

Equipment

We are fully equipped to deal with trees of any size and work of any complexity.

Our equipment ranges from light pruning saws for more delicate work, to industrial size logging saws for felling and pruning trees regardless of size and even the largest of stems can be easily and safely tackled with the correct equipment.

In areas where logging and the distance from access roads is an issue, we have
purpose-built four wheel drive tractor units capable of hauling the biggest logs and with full winching capacity to handle the most complex of tasks.

In addition, we have a log splitter, which can produce logs to any size required and
allow for ease of bagging and transporting.

The latest addition to our fleet is the RoboFlail which provides low-impact vegetation management. Together with our sister company Highland RoboFlail, we are delighted to offer this service throughout the North of Scotland.

Safety

There are many and varied situations which make tree felling necessary. Our fully trained and experienced staff will assist and advise in every aspect of tree pruning and felling with safe parameters.

All work undertaken is carried out under strict safety conditions, both for the tree surgeons and their staff, but also ensure minimum disruption to the property owner and their property.

Stephen has invested heavily in professional safety equipment and in training staff in the latest methodology for safe working practices.

Work will only be undertaken after a thorough survey and risk assessment of the job and in suitable weather conditions.
